US presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has offered to serve as a “mediator” between Pakistan and India to mollify the heating tension between the two countries. Donald Trump, a Republican running for president in the US is known for his racist, bigoted and sexist views. The man who has always been biased towards all minorities especially Muslims is now offering to help Pakistan and India to make peace.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Donald Trump expressed his willingness to help Pakistan and India resolve their issues and end the eternal hostility.

When asked about the situation in subcontinent, Trump exclaimed that he will be privileged to mentor the two countries and make them come to an agreement of peace and reconciliation.

If it was necessary I would do that. If we could get India and Pakistan getting along, I would be honoured to do that. That would be a tremendous achievement. I think if they wanted me to, I would love to be the mediator or arbitrator.

The presidential nominee has always been against Muslims and Islam, portraying terrorist are “Islamic extremists”. When he was asked about his plans for Pakistan, he followed with his usual hate speech declaring Muslims as the ultimate source of terror and blaming them for various terrorist activities like the San Bernardino attack.

We will have to be very, very strong with respect to radical Islamic terrorism. It’s a tremendous problem. We have a president that doesn’t want to use the term. We have to be very powerful, very strong on radical Islamic terror.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, the Republican nominee covenanted that if elected president, US will have strong ties with India.

At the occasion, he reassured of his sympathies for India. In views of Trump, all blame for terrorism and Pak-India tension goes to Pakistan and Islamic radicals. He referred to the recent Uri attack and sided with India, implying that Pakistan is the sole cause of terrorist activities in India.

Look at the recent problem that you [India] had and other problems that you have had over the years.

Taking full advantage of the opportunity, Donald Trump expressed his strong admiration for India declaring them as his ultimate friends.

I have great love for India, because I have so many friends from India. The Hindu people, I will say, are amazing.

Given Donald Trump’s past and present abhorrence towards Muslim community and Pakistan, and his confession to support India, a question mark hangs over the his offer to mediate the tension between the two countries.

Is it at all possible that Trump, if given a chance, will sort things justly without any bias?

However the result maybe, Donald Trump has offered himself to settle the disputes in the subcontinent because he views this tension as a “very, very hot tinderbox” and wishes to see harmony between Pakistan and India.

Well, I would love to see Pakistan and India get along, because that’s a very, very hot tinderbox. That would be a very great thing. I hope they can do it.
